Guelph Emerging Artist Mentorship Project Announced

Applications accepted until Sunday, September 19

Guelph Arts Council Announces Fall Round of Guelph Emerging Artist Mentorship Project

Guelph Arts Council presents the eighth round of the Guelph Emerging Artist Mentorship Project (GEAMP), a program that supports emerging artists in the critical transition to professional life. GAC is grateful for the support of its project partner the University of Guelph School of Fine Art and Music.

Applications for the eighth round of the project, which begins in early October, are being accepted until Sunday, September 19 at 11:59 pm. Guelph visual and media artists, musicians, and cultural managers are encouraged to apply as mentors or emerging artists. Established artists may apply as mentors and emerging artists may apply to be mentored.

For more information about GEAMP, including project details, online application forms for each group, and first-hand stories from previous project participants, please visit GAC’s website:

This project pairs emerging musicians, visual artists, and cultural managers with professional mentors in the same field. As in each of the previous rounds, the emerging artists’ experience will culminate in a group presentation of their work that they plan, promote, and present with support from their mentors. The project’s orientation, mentorship, and learning and networking sessions will be presented in accordance with public health recommendations, with a focus on safe, in-person experiences and online options.
