Dinosaurs Live Exhibit Returns to the Wellington County Museum and Archives. Jan 9th - March 31st

Released For Publication - January 8, 2024

The Wellington County Museum and Archives is set to take visitors on an  exciting journey through time with the return of the popular exhibit, Dinosaurs Live.

Opening on Tuesday, January 9, the exhibit features an impressive collection of life-sized dinosaurs,  including some animatronic creatures, along with replica fossils.
Dinosaur enthusiasts of all ages will have the opportunity to learn about the different types of  dinosaurs, their eating habits, and how they roamed the earth millions of years ago.

Expect to  see some old crowd favourites and new additions such as pachycephalosaurus, brachiosaurus,  and kosmoceratops dinosaurs, and some replica fossils that visitors can touch.

Produced by  Canada’s Dinosaur Park, this exhibit takes visitor back in time to the Mesozoic Era.

“If you’ve ever wanted to see a moving, roaring dinosaur up close, you don’t want to miss this  exhibit,” says Hailey Johnston, Curator. “Dinosaurs Live shows us what dinosaurs may have  looked like, based on the latest evidence uncovered by paleontologists.”

Dinosaurs Live is appropriate for all ages, but parents of young children or those with unique  sensory needs may wish to visit during “quiet hours” every Wednesday morning from 9:30 to 11:00 am when the sounds and movements of the dinosaurs will be turned off.

Canada’s Dinosaur Park is a registered not-for-profit reptile sanctuary that works to protect the  world’s reptile species. Its efforts are primarily devoted to education and participating in  internationally regulated conservation programmes.

The Wellington County Museum and Archives is located on Wellington Road 18 between Fergus  and Elora. The galleries are open weekdays from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm and 11:30 am to 4:00 pm  on weekends. Admission is by donation.
