West-end Youth & Guelph Police Volunteer Basketball Game is back! Friday, May 26th 6-8pm at St Peters Catholic School, 150 Westwood Rd - no admission charge!
After a 2 year pandemic pause the annual Neighbourhood Basketball game is back and the challenge for the trophy is on!
Youth from schools across the city of Guelph have been practicing bi-weekly with Volunteer coaches Steve Friesen, retired HPE teacher/Dept Head & City of Guelph Recreation Leader, and UG student Basketball player Carter Cadman.
"We've been re-building a west-end youth team, getting the youth out again and into a routine, learning how to work together, and lots of skills and drills",
says Cadman.
"This is my first time coaching and I've had a great time learning from Steve and all of the youth, we are really looking forward to the game!"
