Call For Submissions To First Annual Wellington County Writers' Festival
 

For Immediate Release - January 17, 2022 

The Wellington County Library and the Wellington County Museum and  Archives are thrilled to announce the first annual Wellington County Writers Festival will be  taking place this April-June. 

The County of Wellington is looking forward to celebrating local  writers from the community, and is now accepting applications.  

Local writers and writers of books relevant to Wellington County are invited to apply to the first  annual Wellington County Writers' Festival. Applications will open on Monday, January 17 and  will be accepted until February 1, 2022. Participation may include opening and closing events,  and one local event at a library branch. 

“This festival aims to introduce the public to emerging as well as established local authors,”  says Chief Librarian, Rebecca Hine. “We want showcase writers in our community and plan on  establishing this as an annual event” 

Festival Opening 
Saturday, April 23 at the Wellington County Museum and Archives 

Festival Closing and Summer Reading Club Launch 
Saturday, June 25 at the Hillsburgh Branch
