Summer Concert Series Returns to Wellington County Museum and Archives for 12th Season
 

For Immediate Release - July 7, 2025 

Wellington County's beloved Summer Concert Series is back for its twelfth  season at the Wellington County Museum and Archives (WCMA) with Thursday evening  concerts throughout July and August. 

These free Thursday evening concerts feature a diverse  musical lineup, including: 

July 10: Doug Clayfield Trio  
Rock'n'roll featuring classic rock covers and original compositions from this dynamic local trio. 

July 17: Fergus Pipe Band & Meggi Faye  
Special double-header evening featuring the renowned Fergus Pipe Band, which brings the  powerful, traditional sounds of bagpipes to life, followed by a performance from talented  vocalist Meggi Faye. 

July 24: Grand River Band  
These four seasoned musicians have been entertaining southern Ontario for over a decade with  their energetic blend of classic rock and contemporary hits spanning the 60s through today. 

August 7: Moore Band  
Talented family of five singers and multi-instrumentalists brings rich harmonies and versatile  performances covering everything from classic rock and Motown to country and rockabilly. 

August 14: Ground Cover  
This folk-rock band delivers original songs ranging from hard-hitting rock to melodic pop, with  themes reflecting queer life experiences, love, community care, and hope for a better world. 

August 21: Highbanks Bluegrass Band  
One of the region's most entertaining bluegrass acts, combining outstanding instrumental  talent with tight vocal harmonies, breathing new life into traditional bluegrass. 

All concerts begin at 7:00 pm inside the Heritage Barn on site. Attendees are encouraged to  bring their own lawn chair or picnic blanket. No registration is required, and admission is by  donation.

About WCMA - WCMA tells the stories of the people and places of Wellington County. The  museum is located on Wellington Road 18 between Fergus and Elora in the oldest remaining  rural House of Industry and Refuge (or 'Poor House') in Canada.
